Lighthouse Whole Person Facilitation Short Course Online (Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Time Zones)

September 10 – October 1, 2025

The Lighthouse Facilitation Program is a practical facilitation skills training programme held in four sessions over four weeks. It is a mix of online, solo and paired experiential work to develop essential skills of whole person facilitation. The Lighthouse Facilitation Training is a short version of the Zenergy signature course – the Art of Facilitation. It is designed for people working or volunteering in the eco awareness, climate and social equity sectors.

The Art of Facilitation has been delivered for thousands of people globally since 1993 as the first stage of a Diploma of Facilitation. This short course emerged from a recognition that people working or volunteering in the eco awareness, climate and social equity sectors want and need facilitation skills they can afford, and, that we are living with multiple social and ecological challenges that require collective insight and action.

As a facilitator you can be a beacon for the groups you work with, just by the way you hold space. It is a way of being grounded, connected and light all at the same time. If your primary role calls you to facilitate from time to time but you don’t want to be a full-time facilitator this course can help you build skills to support your groups to achieve their goals.

You will gain experience, insights and clarity about:

  • - Presence: A way of being that enables group connection, safety and trust
  • - Purpose: holding the space for the group to align on purpose and action
  • - Processes: a resource toolbox of facilitation processes

For people who would like to do the full Art of Facilitation Course, Zenergy will deliver a second round – Part 2 Lighthouse Facilitation early in 2026. More details to come.

His work in facilitation began during PhD research in engineering, where he observed the challenges faced trying to make progress on complex or ‘wicked’ problems and the limitations of the “engineer your way out of anything” mindset. Dan draws on extensive experience working in municipal council and community settings, and at board level - serving as the President of the Peace Foundation of Aotearoa. He enjoys games, puzzles and play, and loves that moment when groups discover their awesomeness.

What our participants say

The skills we’ve learned can translate into all avenues of life, be it work, family, friends, or complete strangers. The real life learning that happens by being thrown into the deep end, it beats reading any book hands-down. How accepting and including the model is, allowing us to bring our whole selves into it..
